We're back home and recovering, and I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season, in whatever way you might enjoy it. I recieved an enormous collection of ink pads, a folder to organize my altered book/scrapbooking supplies in, a box of my favourite tea (PG tips), and a number of other wonderful small things. We do stockings in this household, and I do believe I single-handedly recieved more sweets than anyone else. I'm not certain what sort of hint that might be, since I've managed to put on a good ten pounds or more in the past few years. Our Christmas was somewhat disjointed and came in multiples due to the technical impracticality of carrying gifts back and forth in the luggage, but the west coast was lovely. Rey's home town always reminds me just a bit of England, with its rocky shore and frequent light rain.
New Year's Eve was quiet and peaceful, spent with movies and a brief tuning in to see the Time's Square ball drop.
Today is incredibly windy, and I took a long walk in it with the music player, singing at the top of my lungs into the cold. Simply wonderful.
I'm at work still on a belated Christmas gift, my first altered book really. I will scan the pages and cover and make a post once it's completed, especially as it's meant to be an in-character gift from Thorn to Courtney.

A quiz from Donya's journal, because it looked interesting. I ought to take up the weekly quiz habit.

1. When did you "lose your innocence"?
I'm unsure if this is intended to mean one's virginity, or the more ethereal concept. It was a very long time ago in either case, when I was too immature to value either.

2. Would you say you have an accent?
I do, although I would not say nearly so extreme a one as those around me might. I'm fairly close to speaking the Queen's English, but I realize there are traces of a half-dozen other places mixed in, which are the bits I would call an accent. I've gone a bit Americanized over the years, with hints of New York, Ireland, South Africa, and I'm not entirely certain what else. I have traveled widely.

3. Do you hope to be married (married again if divorced)?
Again, in my case, and yes. I should hope to be far more successful this time.

4. If you could take one technology to a desert island (the obvious satellite phone excluded), what would it be?
I'm very fond of those little MP3 Players these days. If I could bring something non-technological, it would certainly be my current family.

5. What is the last activity you bought a ticket for?
Collectively, the Nutcracker ballet, and before that there were the plane tickets. Personally, I couldn't say. I tend to convince others to buy tickets...
